CBD is the acronym for Cannabidiol, a natural constituent of Hemp Oil that is extracted from the hemp plant. CBD accounts for up to 40% of the plant’s extract and is considered to have a wide variety of wellness properties. Cannabidiol is one of hemp’s many non-psychoactive compounds, meaning that CBD Hemp oil does not get users high and that it cannot be abused. Hemp also contains many other cannabinoids, but cannabidiol is the most predominant in the plant’s biological makeup. Though hemp is cannabis, hemp is not marijuana, making CBD derived from hemp legal in all 50 states and more than 40 countries.

Among the more than 85 cannabinoids scientists are now aware of, the non-psychoactive compound cannabidiol (CBD) is one of the most abundant. Derived from the seeds, stalks, and flowers of plants like hemp, cannabidiol, most commonly known as CBD, has demonstrated in thousands of studies to possess therapeutic properties that can balance the body and treat an array of symptoms and conditions.

While researchers are still discovering more exciting effects of CBD, so far studies indicate that CBD is beneficial for treating inflammation, pain, anxiety, seizures, spasms, psychosis, nausea, and other symptoms. CBD has also shown to have antioxidant and neuroprotective properties.

Because of these therapeutic effects, scientists have found evidence that indicates CBD is a potential treatment for a wide array of conditions. This includes arthritis, chronic pain, multiple sclerosis, schizophrenia, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, epilepsy, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and even cancer.
